About crossbar contacts (micro-capacity contacts)
The minimum current for ordinary contacts is 50mA, and below that, crossbar contacts will be used.
I will explain about crossbar contacts (micro-capacity contacts). Our 2Amp and 5Amp series set the minimum current for standard contacts at 50mA, and below that, we use crossbar contacts, referred to as K contacts. The range for crossbar contacts is defined as 1mA to 100mA, so the shared range between standard contacts and micro-capacity contacts is between 50mA and 100mA. Please consider the range of crossbar contacts to be from 1mA to 100mA. Due to the small contact area, the likelihood of minor debris getting trapped within the contacts and causing contact failure is low. For more details, please download the catalog.
